English Women’s Open Stroke Play Championship

Congratulations to Ava and Jasmine

Ava Bates and Jasmine Kandlekar competed in the English Women’s Open Strokeplay Championship at Manchester Golf Club last month.

This England Golf event sees a field of 100 female amateur golfers of different nationalities compete over 72-holes at Hopwood. Competitors played 18 holes on each of the first two days with the leading 40 players plus ties playing 36 holes on the final day.

Ava had opening rounds of 72 (-2), 73 (-1) putting her in a great place going into the weekend. Fighting against some tougher conditions on Saturday, Ava shot 75 (+1), 75 (+1) putting her in T9 overall. Once again, a great week making moves up the leaderboard!

Jasmine fought hard over her two rounds shooting 82, 78 putting her 4 shots back of the cut line.  Well done Jasmine for giving it a shot against an extremely strong field!
