How we invested £100,000 in our community
Supporting young people’s mental health across Surrey
Eikon has over 30 years of experience supporting young people’s emotional wellbeing across Surrey. In 2024-25 alone, they worked directly with over 3,500 children and young people, with a further 17,000+ reached through their Smart Moves® prevention programme.
Their work includes one-to-one counselling, school-based support and specialist services for LGBTQ+ young people, young carers and neurodivergent children.
We welcomed Eikon’s Chris Hickford MBE and Lesley Humphreys to Wentworth Club to hear first-hand about their work, and were pleased to support them through #100in100.
Giving children with special needs a place to belong
Established in 1996, Bright Lights runs a weekly youth club at Egham Orbit Leisure Centre for children aged 5 to 13 with special needs, including autism, Down’s Syndrome and moderate to severe learning difficulties.
The club provides soft play, arts and crafts, as well as trips and experiences for its members. Funding from the Wentworth Foundation will help Bright Lights continue to provide its weekly club and valuable respite for parents and carers.

Building confident, resilient young women
The Teen Project is a Guildford-based charity working to help girls become confident and resilient young women.
Through a six-week school-based programme, girls aged 11 to 16 receive personalised one-to-one mentoring and group workshops addressing mental health, physical literacy and nutrition, designed and led by qualified psychological professionals.
Through #100in100, the Foundation is supporting The Teen Project’s work to improve the mental and physical wellbeing of young women in our community.

Surrey Clubs for Young People supports a network of youth clubs and projects across the county, providing activities that help young people build confidence and resilience.
One of the clubs experiencing growing demand is Egham Youth Club, right on our doorstep, where young people can take part in activities including table tennis, basketball, cooking and arts and crafts in a safe and welcoming environment.
Through #100in100, the Foundation is supporting the charity’s work with young people across Surrey and within our local community.
White Lodge supports over 1,200 disabled children, young people and adults each year. Its services span a specialist nursery and inclusive youth clubs through to adult day services, physiotherapy and neurological rehabilitation, helping people build confidence, independence and reduce isolation.
The Foundation has supported White Lodge through #100in100 and also served as Headline Sponsor of its annual Charity Golf Day at West Byfleet Golf Club, donating a hosted three-ball on Wentworth’s West Course for the auction.
Investing in grassroots sport on our doorstep
Established in 1879, Englefield Green Cricket Club has been part of its local community for almost 150 years. Playing on the historic Englefield Green just minutes from Wentworth Club, it has a thriving junior section alongside its senior teams.
Our #100in100 contribution has gone towards new groundkeeping equipment, helping the club maintain the quality of its facilities for current and future players.
Championing community spirit, sport and the arts across Runnymede
The #100in100 campaign has also enabled the Foundation to extend its support into the wider life of our local community.
The Runnymede Civic Awards celebrate community spirit, sporting achievement and creative arts across the borough. The 2027 ceremony will be the last before Runnymede Borough Council becomes part of the new West Surrey Council.
The Wentworth Golf and Tennis Foundation is a Gold Sponsor of the 2027 Runnymede Civic Awards. At the ceremony in March 2027, the Foundation will present a named trophy recognising excellence in sport and community contribution.
The awards recognise young sportspeople, coaches, volunteers and community champions, many of whom contribute to the communities our scholars and beneficiaries come from.
Enhancing the community we call home
The Foundation is also supporting the Wentworth Residents Association with improvements to the local area, including the Virginia Water Station partnership and enhancements to the roundabout on Wellington Avenue.
These are local investments in the community immediately surrounding Wentworth.
