Congratulations to Wentworth Foundation golf scholar Harry Barclay, who claimed an excellent victory at the British Junior Golf Tour event held at Sunningdale Heath Golf Club on Sunday 2nd August 2026.
Harry produced a fine round of 3 over par around Sunningdale Heath’s testing layout to take the win, a performance that reflected the discipline, focus and competitive maturity we see developing in Harry week on week. A birdie on the third hole was a particular highlight in a round that showcased the progress he has made since joining the Foundation’s scholarship programme.
The British Junior Golf Tour is the UK’s leading junior golf development tour and a DP World Tour Approved Golf Development Programme, attracting talented young players from across the country competing in age-appropriate divisions. It has served as a development pathway for players who have gone on to compete at national amateur level and, in some cases, the professional ranks, making it an important and competitive proving ground for any aspiring young golfer.
For Harry, this win is further evidence of what becomes possible when talent is matched with the right coaching, facilities and support. That is precisely what the Wentworth Golf and Tennis Foundation exists to provide.
Well done, Harry – we are all very proud of you! 🏆💚
